Mitchelstown Artisan Food Festival & Food Awards

• On Sunday the 28th August 2011 all roads will lead to Mitchelstown, for Ireland's newest Artisan Food Festival! ( from 12pm to 6pm )

• This innovative and exciting new Artisan Food Festival will be held on the grounds of Kingston Arms & Kingston College Green in Mitchelstown, County Cork, on Sun the 28th August 2011.

• Mitchelstown Artisan Food Festival is a Free to Enter event open to everyone!

• Food Producers, Food writers, Food bloggers and Food lovers will converge on Mitchelstown to taste the best of what Irelands Artisan Food Producers have to offer.

• Over 30 Artisan Food Producer stalls will fill the open garden space of Kingston Arms & Kingston College Green in Mitchelstown until 6pm.

• As well as eating and drinking, there will also be an opportunity to learn how foods products are actually made and where they come from!

• Tasting, Cooking, and Making Food will all feature prominently at this very innovative new food festival.

• Tastings, Cookery Demonstrations, Food Trails, Food Production Demonstrations and a host of Artisan Food stalls can all be experienced at the Mitchelstown Artisan Food Festival event.

• There will also be a range of Kid’s entertainment with something for all age groups, such as face painting, bouncy castles, penalty Shoot out and a live acoustic brass band.

Festival History

• The Mitchelstown Food Festival began over 10 years ago as a local community project to celebrate Mitchelstown’s rich cultural heritage together with its reputation as a indigenous food producer.

• The festival has evolved over the years going from strength to strength.

• The festival was established to promote awareness of local food producers and the food outlets that use and promote local Irish food products.
