On Sunday the 28th August 2011 all roads will lead to Mitchelstown, for Ireland's newest Artisan Food Festival! ( from 12pm to 6pm )

This innovative and exciting new Artisan Food Festival will be held on the grounds of Kingston Arms & Kingston College Green in Mitchelstown, County Cork, on Sun the 28th August 2011.

Mitchelstown Artisan Food Festival is a Free to Enter event open to everyone!

Food Producers, Food writers, Food bloggers and Food lovers will converge on Mitchelstown to taste the best of what Irelands Artisan Food Producers have to offer.

Over 30 Artisan Food Producer stalls will fill the open garden space of Kingston Arms & Kingston College Green in Mitchelstown until 6pm.

As well as eating and drinking, there will also be an opportunity to learn how foods products are actually made and where they come from!

Tasting, Cooking, and Making Food will all feature prominently at this very innovative new food festival.

Tastings, Cookery Demonstrations, Food Trails, Food Production Demonstrations and a host of Artisan Food stalls can all be experienced at the Mitchelstown Artisan Food Festival event.

There will also be a range of Kid’s entertainment with something for all age groups, such as face painting, bouncy castles, penalty Shoot out and a live acoustic brass band.
Festival History

The Mitchelstown Food Festival began over 10 years ago as a local community project to celebrate Mitchelstown’s rich cultural heritage together with its reputation as a indigenous food producer.

The festival has evolved over the years going from strength to strength.

The festival was established to promote awareness of local food producers and the food outlets that use and promote local Irish food products.

This year’s Food Festival as well as the artisan food stalls where customers can buy and sample the products, there will be plenty of stalls cooking hot food and lots of space for a picnic.
